When Performance Drops, We Usually Ask The Wrong Question
When someone isn’t performing at their best, we often assume they need more motivation, better time management, greater resilience, or simply more effort.
But what looks like a motivation problem may actually be influenced by how someone is thinking, feeling, functioning, communicating, working, or being led.
Instead of asking:
“What’s wrong with this person?”
We ask:
“What’s influencing their performance?”
Because better performance starts with understanding the whole human and the system around them.
OUR FRAMEWORK
The 7 Dimensions of Human Performance
Human performance is not driven by one thing.
Our framework examines seven interconnected dimensions that can help explain why a human, team, or organization is thriving, struggling, or performing inconsistently.
Performance problems rarely have one-dimensional solutions.
Understanding what is helping or hindering performance allows us to stop guessing and intervene where it actually matters.
HOW WE HELP ORGANIZATIONS
Human Performance Problems Need Human Solutions.
We work at the intersection of human behavior and organizational systems to help leaders and teams understand what is affecting performance and build practical solutions that work in the real world.

I’VE SPENT MY CAREER TRYING TO UNDERTSTAND ONE QUESTION:
What Helps Humans Perform at Their Best?
I’ve studied human performance from nearly every angle: as an internationally published researcher, professor, elite athlete, coach, consultant, speaker, and human who has experienced firsthand what happens when motivation and performance don’t behave the way they’re “supposed to”.
I hold a PhD and Master’s in Sport and Exercise Psychology and a Bachelor’s in Kinesiology and Health Promotion, and I’ve spent more than 26 years helping humans change behavior, navigate pressure, improve performance, and do hard things.
My work brings those worlds together: the science of performance and the reality of being human.
